Raya Power has been selected for the 2026 Bravo Venture Fellowship, the Bravo Family Foundation's program backing founders of Puerto Rican descent. Co-founder and CTO Nicole González joins the cohort, and it is a milestone worth pausing on.
This year the fellowship did something it had never done before. It opened to Puerto Rican founders building outside the island, in places like New York and Miami, as El Nuevo Día reported. Raya Power is one of only two diaspora companies chosen. For a foundation created by Orlando Bravo to invest in Puerto Rican talent, deciding that the talent counts wherever it lives is a real statement, and Raya Power earned its place in it.
The fit here runs deep. Nicole was working on NASA's Mars Rover when Hurricane Maria hit in 2017, and she wanted something her family could have used to keep their lights on after the storm took down the island's grid. That is the company in a single story. Fivonaccie was born from a storm too, so a mission about resilience, about keeping power on for the people who usually get left in the dark, reaches us in a way few things do.
We have rarely met founders like Meghan and Nicole, and we are proud to be Raya Power's agency as they grow. Watching Puerto Rico's most serious institutions recognize what they are building makes the work worth it.
